What do you remember most about Katie?

A good friend asked me yesterday, what was the most important advice that Katie had given me?  Several of us were talking about how Katie would always be concerned enough to want to know what we struggling with.  And then often offer great advice, sometimes from a perspective that we had not thought of before.

For me, I think the biggest thing she wanted was for me to be kind to myself, in all the little and big moments in a day.  And honestly, as more time goes by without her here to process my day with, her voice is still coming through… and I try to be a little less critical of myself.  I am trying to keep her message in my head and heart.  She was such a supportive friend and advocate.

  • What was the most important piece of advice that Katie gave to you all?
  • What are you missing most about not having her with us?
  • How are you coping with not having Katie around?  I am listening to her music alot.
