Yahrzeit for Katie starting at sundown tonight

Hi all – Tomorrow marks the sad day 9 years ago when our Katie left us…. Tonight starting at sundown wherever you are we follow the Jewish tradition of Yahrzeit by lighting a candle during the following 24 hours. Some use special Memorial candles that burn 24 hours lit on this eve. Others use a candle of their choice lit other times. For Detroit, sundown is 9:10pm.

Join us in lighting a candle for Katie and if you want to share pictures tonight or tomorrow to thelifeofkatiek@gmail.com , I will add them to a candle post that will be up later tonight.

Together we’ll remember the bright flame that Katie brought to all our lives, and hopefully still continues on.
